I am mixing my time between consulting work in the Enterprise Risk Management, Model Validation and Catastrophe Modelling space as well as finding time to manage a number of restoration projects in the UK & France.
This winter, I’m excited to be involved in two separate projects looking at data that can help stakeholders manage “Disaster Risk Reduction”. More specifically, this is about the gaps in the data and what would be required to improve supply-side products – be it better hazard and vulnerability mapping or tools that would give greater access to alternative pre and post disaster financing.
I am an inquisitive person with a low boredom threshold and my curiosity will no doubt lead me in different directions to those that I had imagined. And that’s rather exciting too!
When I get time, I update my blog sharing photos and thoughts on places that I am lucky enough to visit. Sometimes you don’t need to travel far to find the natural beauty that is all around us. If only there was more time to explore new places and learn about their history.
