Hi, I’m Jez — the creative force behind HindlesWorld. I’m passionate about transforming ordinary travel into extraordinary adventures. Combining my love for Do-It-Yourself (DIY) travel planning and digital creation, using my DJI Mini 4 Pro drone or action cameras, I’m crafting my own Tailor-Made Itineraries for extraordinary adventures.
For the last 10 years or so, we’ve planned and travelled to Central America and Southeast Asia, helping travellers like you craft unforgettable experiences without breaking the bank. Whether it’s a short break in Europe or curating a journey to hidden gems in The Philippines, I believe in creating moments that inspire, connect, and transform our lives with happy memories.
By taking a DIY approach to travel, we’ve experienced new cultures, created unique adventures, and enjoyed the confidence that comes from planning our journeys independently. We’ve turned away from traditional package holiday providers and discovered how to save significantly on travel costs, while gaining the freedom to explore more destinations on our own.

Emotional Memories After a Day with Elephants
Sometimes travel hits you in ways you never expect. During our stay at an elephant eco-sanctuary near Chiang Mai, what started as a simple breakfast encounter became one of our most transformative travel moments.
This is what transformative travel is really about. It’s not just ticking boxes or getting the perfect Instagram shot. It’s about those unplanned moments that become the best memories, the genuine human connections that happen when you’re not trying to get the perfect shot, and the experiences that stick with you long after you’ve unpacked your suitcase.
From watching elephants eat sugar cane in Thailand to witnessing hotel staff surprise my wife with her very own Thai name, these are the moments that hit you emotionally and create lasting memories.
Key Insight: Sometimes the most memorable stories come from unexpected detours — like sleeping with the Karen hill tribe near Chiang Mai on the floor of their cabin, being smoked out by the fire that had been used to cook our supper. These authentic experiences often outshine any 5-star resort comfort.
